Swoony Series Support

The story is only the beginning.

Writing the book matters. So does everything that helps readers discover it, trust it, buy it, review it, and come back for the next one.

Our Swoony Series Support services are designed for romance authors who need help beyond the manuscript itself. Whether you are struggling to turn your story into a compelling blurb, building a new series from the ground up, trying to reach qualified early reviewers, or looking for someone to help manage the entire publishing process, Indie Story Studio offers practical, romance-focused support at every stage.

Choose one focused service, combine several into a custom package, or let us step in as your publishing partner. Every option is built around the same promise: thoughtful strategy, clear communication, and work designed for swoon, structure & sell-through.

Blurb Edits & Creation

Starting at $99

Sell the click, not the plot—every word earning its keep.

Your blurb is the handshake, the promise, and the pitch all at once. In only a few short paragraphs, it has to introduce the central conflict, establish the emotional fantasy, surface the tropes readers actively search for, and give them a reason to click before their attention moves to the next book.

A strong romance blurb does not summarize every major event. It tells readers what kind of experience they are being invited into. It promises chemistry, danger, yearning, humor, heat, heartbreak, or whatever emotional payoff your story is built to deliver.

If your cover catches attention but your product page is not converting, the blurb may be the missing piece.

We can strengthen an existing description or create one from the ground up. Every blurb is built around the book’s actual characters, stakes, tone, tropes, heat level, and intended audience. We look for the sharpest emotional hook, remove unnecessary backstory, tighten the setup, and make sure the final copy feels like the book readers will actually receive.

What’s Included

Depending on the package selected, your service may include:

  • Review of the manuscript, synopsis, outline, or client-provided story information
  • Evaluation of the existing blurb
  • A rewritten or newly created book description
  • Stronger opening hooks
  • Clearer trope and subgenre signals
  • Character-focused stakes and emotional promises
  • Mobile-friendly paragraph structure
  • Heat-level and HEA/HFN positioning where appropriate
  • Series-position language
  • Call-to-action options
  • One or more revision rounds, depending on package
  • Optional alternate versions for retailer pages, back matter, ads, or social media

Blurb Edit $99

Best for authors who already have a complete description but know it needs more impact. We retain the strongest parts of your existing copy while improving the hook, pacing, clarity, trope signals, and emotional pull.

Blurb Creation $199

Best for authors who need us to start fresh. We review the available story materials and create a new, sales-focused blurb built around the strongest promise of the book.

Ideal For

  • New releases and preorders
  • Backlist books that are not converting
  • Series relaunches
  • New covers or rebrands
  • Authors who struggle to condense a full novel into a sales description
  • Books with complicated worldbuilding or multiple romantic leads
  • Authors who need a blurb that matches their advertising strategy

Swoony Series Suite

From spark to sellable series—built for swoon, structure & sell-through.

Sometimes the hardest part is not writing the book. It is deciding what the series should be, how the books connect, what to call them, where the romantic and external arcs should go, and how to make Book One strong enough to pull readers into everything that follows.

The Swoony Series Suite gives you a professional foundation for your next romance project. You can choose a complete done-for-you package or select only the pieces you need.

We begin with the promise of the series: the subgenre, central fantasy, audience, trope structure, emotional tone, and long-term direction. From there, we can develop the series concept, title options, character and relationship arcs, individual book premises, the full plot for Book One, and the Book One blurb.

This service is flexible by design. You may need a full series built from an early idea, or you may already have the concept and only need help shaping the arc. You may want titles and blurbs, but prefer to plot the books yourself. We build the scope around what you already have and where you are getting stuck.

Review Support

Starting at $150

More early eyes, more social proof—compliant, targeted, and trackable.

Reviews help readers decide whether a book is worth their time. They provide social proof, strengthen advertising and promotional efforts, and give new visitors confidence that other readers have already taken a chance on the story.

Finding those readers, however, can become a full-time job.

Our Review Support service helps authors build and manage an early-reader outreach plan designed to place the book in front of readers who are genuinely interested in its subgenre, tropes, heat level, and emotional promise.

We focus on qualified outreach rather than inflated numbers. That means seeking readers who are a strong fit for the book, communicating expectations clearly, tracking participation, delivering review copies, and following up respectfully.

This is not a paid-review service, and no positive review is promised or required. Readers must remain free to share their honest opinions. Our role is to help you reach more appropriate reviewers and manage the process professionally.

What’s Included

Depending on the selected level of support, the service may include:

  • Review of the book, blurb, cover, tropes, and target readership
  • ARC or review-copy strategy
  • Reader recruitment planning
  • Reviewer-interest form creation
  • Organized reviewer tracking
  • ARC delivery coordination
  • Communication templates
  • Reminder and follow-up scheduling
  • Review-link preparation
  • Review-status tracking
  • Launch-week follow-up
  • Reusable systems for future releases

What Review Support Does Not Include

We do not:

  • Purchase reviews
  • Pay readers in exchange for reviews
  • Require a positive star rating
  • Guarantee the number of reviews received
  • Guarantee that every ARC recipient will finish the book
  • Guarantee that every reader will post publicly
  • Remove or suppress negative feedback
  • Create false accounts or fabricated reviews
  • Participate in review swapping that violates retailer policies

The author is paying Indie Story Studio for the work involved in finding, organizing, contacting, and managing potential reviewers—not for the reviews themselves.

Ideal For

  • New authors without an established ARC team
  • Authors launching under a new pen name
  • Relaunches and backlist refreshes
  • Authors who do not have time to manage reviewer communication
  • Books entering a new subgenre
  • Series starters that need early social proof
  • Authors who want a repeatable review process for future releases

Important Expectations

Reader participation is voluntary. Even with strong outreach, some readers will decline, withdraw, fail to finish, or choose not to post. Others may leave critical reviews.

No specific number of reviews, star rating, sales increase, or ranking result can be guaranteed.
